Makeup Mirrors

While most men don't really understand the necessity of makeup mirrors, most women do. A makeup mirror can sometimes be the difference between going to work with that telltale line of foundation on your chin and remembering to blend it in completely. Men reading this who do not understand what this means, go ask your wife of a female friend. They will be able to explain it. But for now, consider this a major female faux pas that can easily be overcome with a little help from a lighted makeup mirror.

A lighted make up mirror is often the first choice for make up mirrors. Lighted makeup mirrors serve as vanities that one can actually sit very close to in order to observe what kind of job you are doing on your make up. A mirror on a wall is often not close enough to see intricate details that need to be addressed, and this is where a lighted vanity makeup mirror comes in handy. For people with eyesight that is poor, there is a 10x make up mirror made that can be beneficial for things like eyebrow grooming. Lighted magnifying makeup mirrors are even better because they add the light aspect to the magnification and provide a great way to spot errant hairs. It may not make sense to your husband, but magnifying make up mirrors are a great addition to any woman's bathroom.

Aside from just lighted make up mirrors, there are other options for makeup mirrors. A 3-way makeup mirror is another popular option. This mirror offers three separate glass mirrors to provide a view of your eye or face from above, at "eye" level, and from below. These are generally used for eye makeup so you can see the top and bottom lashes equally well. There are a lot of other options out there, too. Something that is often considered antique for makeup mirrors are two sided makeup mirrors. These have a mirror on each side. One is at regular magnification while the other side has a 3-10x magnifying mirror. This style is mounted on a stand and the mirror can be flipped over so you can use the other magnification.

Many companies make makeup mirrors. Some of these are more expensive and others are not as pricey, for example, a Clairol makeup mirror is a mid-range mirror. If you want to purchase a makeup mirror, consider first what kind of features you want on the mirror, then find a model that is right for you.
